Delhi - Alwar - Jaipur - Jhalawar - Bundi - Bijapur - Udaipur - Delhi

Day 1: Delhi

Pickup from New Delhi Airport, and transfer to hotel.  Delhi is an exciting, at times chaotic but mostly interesting mega city with lots of historic sights, museums and endless bazaars. We suggest you see Lutyen’s Delhi, India Gate and Connaught Place today depending on the time at hand.

Travel on the quiet backroads to some unforgettable but off the beaten track destinations. (PREMIUM ONLY)

Day 2: Alwar

We see Humanyun’s tomb (a lovely structure built in the memory of a mughal king) and Qutub Minar complex today at Delhi and then drive on to explore the deserted and some say haunted city of Bhangarh, 4 hrs away. We spent the night in a wonderful ancient fortress, now converted into a comfortable heritage hotel.

Day 3 & 4: Jaipur

We travel to Jaipur which is a short drive away. The pink city of Jaipur is famous for its Marvelous architecture and town planning. Take excursion to magnificent Amber Fort, perched on a hilltop outside town and wander around the old city with its colorful and chaotic bazaars and rose pink color buildings.

Day 5: Jhalawar
We see the City Palace, Palace of Winds, and Observatory today, and then drive on to the lesser known  destination of Jhalawar. It is a treasure house pre-historic paintings, fort, water-laden verdant landscape, ancient temples and Buddhist cave.

Day 6 & 7: Bundi

Bundi is often described as the undiscovered jewel of Rajasthan with impressive monuments like Taragarh fort, Garh Palace, ancient temples and numerous step wells It is a truly medieval city in great condition benefiting from being off the main tourist routes. The frescoes in the main palace are astounding and well worth a visit.

Day 8 & 9: Bijapur

Drive to Bijaipur, a remote village in the heart of rural Rajasthan. We stay in an ancient fort which has been converted into a charming heritage hotel. Explore the surrounding villages to experience the lifestyle of tribal community. There are options for horse riding and camel cart ride.

Day 10 & 11: Udaipur

We travel to presumably the biggest fort in the world at Chittaurgarh and revel in its many tales of valor and sacrifice. Next we carry on to the romance of Udaipur. Surrounded by the lush hills of Aravali, with its palaces, tranquil lakes and quiet alleyways, Udaipur is an unforgettably picturesque, serene and romantic destination. See the palaces, gardens, lakes and temples of the town, and soak in the atmosphere of its streets. We can catch a stirring light and sound show in the evening or see a lovely folk music and dance show  or roam in the bazaars of this lovely town in the evening.

Day 12: Delhi

We roam the streets of Udaipur in the morning. We should see the city palace and Jagdish temple here, as well as the lovely lakes and water gardens at Saheliyon ki Bari. We can catch an overnight train to Delhi. Our tour ends with a good bye to the city of Udaipur.
