Delhi – Agra – Jaipur – Udaipur – Jodhpur - Pushkar – Ranthambore – Orchha – Khajuraho – Varanasi – Train Ride – Delhi

Day 1: Delhi

Pickup from New Delhi Airport, and transfer to hotel.  Delhi is an exciting, at times chaotic but mostly interesting mega city with lots of historic sights, museums and endless bazaars. We suggest you see Lutyen’s Delhi, India Gate and Connaught Place today depending on the time at hand.

Embark on a spectacular journey across North India. Visit the Taj, fabulous palaces, erotic temples and picturesque villages. Get an insight in India’s rich diversity.

Day 2: Delhi City Tour

Today we travel to the heart of Delhi’s old city to visit the large and striking mosque of Jama Masjid. We also have opportunity to witness old and most colorful bazaars of Chandani Chowk and the spice market. Travel on to Agra (5 hrs) in the evening.

Day 3: Agra
Watch the morning Sun shine over  the most beautiful building in the world, the sublime Taj Mahal . Also see the imposing Red Fort and Akbar’s capital city of Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 4 & 5: Jaipur

We see the Keoladeo National Park in the morning. Famous for wetland birds, it is a beautiful place and birds can be seen either by boat or by rickshaw. After breakfast we drive (3 hrs ) to Jaipur. The capital of Rajasthan, the city of Jaipur is famous for its Marvelous architecture and town planning. During our stay we explore magnificent Amber Fort, perched on a hilltop outside town, Jaigarh with its cannon foundry and wander around the old city with its busy shops, latticed windows houses and rose pink colour streets. We also see monuments like the City palace, Palace of winds and Observatory etc. We stay at Jaipur for two nights.


Day 6 & 7: Udaipur

Udaipur (6 hrs from Jaipur) is surely the most romantic and picturesque city of Rajasthan. On the way lies the biggest fort in the world at Chittaur and well worth a couple of hours sightseeing.
Places to see in Udaipur include Jagdish temple, city Palace, Water gardens at Saheliyon ki Bari, Pratap Memorial and old city bylanes.  Enjoy a relaxing boat ride in Lake Pichola or drive up to hilltop monsoon palace for spectacular views of this magical city. Udaipur has several interesting excursions like Nathdwara Temple, Haldi Ghati Battlefield, Sahstrabahu temple and Eklingji.

Day 8: Jodhpur

Head on to the blue city of Jodhpur that is five hour away. Home of Rathore Rajputs, Jodhpur boasts of a rich heritage and culture and has a flourishing handicrafts industry. In afternoon we visit the magnificent fort of Mehrangarh. Evening is free to explore one of the oldest markets in India around the clock tower.

Day 9: Pushkar

Situated on the banks of a holy lake , this oasis town is a great pilgrimage centre for Hindus, with the only Bramha (God of creation) temple in the world. Relax and soak the atmosphere of this scenic town. Walk around in the colorful markets and hike to Savitri temple to catch breathtaking views.

Day 10: Ranthambore

Leave APushkar early on your travel to Ranthambore National Park, one of the original Project Tiger Reserves of India. During your stay take safaris into the park with its lakes, scrublands and ruined palaces, as well as abundant wildlife spotting including deer, birds and monkeys. If we are lucky, we may even see tigers, leopards and sloth bears. Entry to the park and transport within park is extra. Ranthambore is 5 hrs from Pushkar.

Day 11: Orchha

The journey continues to picturesque riverside town of Orchha (5 hr. journey). This small sleepy town once served as capital of powerful Chandela dynasty. We explore the imposing Palace complex and captivating countryside dotted with many temple ruins.

Day 12 & 13: Khajuraho

Famous for erotic sculptures depicting scenes from Kama Sutra, Khajuraho is home to tons of temples representing the finest sculptural art and architecture splendor of medieval India.

Day 14 & 15: Varanasi

Possibly the oldest city in the world, Varanasi is the most significant pilgrimage place for Hindus. Walk in the narrow twisting alleys to peep into thousands of its temples and shrines, take a boat ride on the Ganges at dawn, when it is full of pilgrims and the experience spirituality by participating in the evening lamp ceremony.

Day 16: Train Ride

We wander the streets of Varanasi in the morning, and then catch an overnight train to Delhi.

Day 17: Delhi / Tour End

Arrive into Delhi in the morning where the tour ends.
