Delhi – Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur – Shekhawati – Delhi

Day 1: Delhi

Pickup from New Delhi Airport, and transfer to hotel. Delhi is an exciting, at times chaotic but mostly interesting mega city with lots of historic sights, museums and endless bazaars. We suggest you see Lutyen’s Delhi, India Gate and Connaught Place today depending on the time at hand.

Witness ome of the finest built heritage of India. The forts of Jaipur, the monuments at Delhi, the rural beauty and mansions of Shekhawati and the Taj Mahal.

Day 2: Agra

Travel to Agra (4-5 hours) and visit the most beautiful buildings of Mughal dynasty, the sublime Taj Mahal and impressive red fort.

Day 3: Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur (5 hr travel plus couple of hrs to see Fatehpur Sikri), via a visit to the deserted Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri which is on the way. The pink city of Jaipur is famous for its marvelous architecture and town planning. Evening free to roam around the old city with its colourful shops, latticed windows houses and streets or watch a Bollywood Movie in the art deco splendour of the Raj Mandir Cinema. We stay at Jaipur.

Day 4: Jaipur

Drive through the pink city; see the delicate Hawa Mahal on the way; for Morning excursion to magnificent Amber Fort where you can have the experience of traveling on elephant back to the top of the hill where the fort is situated. Later visit the largest observatory in India and various museums inside the City Palace.

Day 5: 

Often referred to as open art gallery of Rajasthan, the region of Shekhawati is known for incredibly painted havelis (merchant’s House). Visit some these exquisite havelis with frescos depicting mythological themes and that of daily life in old times. We stay at one of the numerous small towns of Shekhawati, like Nawalgarh or Mandawa.

Day 6: Delhi

Free morning to further explore the region or take a camel cart ride. Late morning drive to Delhi where the tour ends.
